There are several species of shorebirds that nest along the beaches of the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of Florida. Lately we have been seeing ruddy turnstones, sanderlings, willets and a few turns and gulls. With so many different species identification of these birds is rather difficult. Many of these birds have different markings with plumage variation by season and age. They are a fascinating subject to watch and photograph.
